The invite-only status of Sora may also have led individuals seeking to experiment with AI video generation to explore readily available alternatives, potentially boosting Meta AI's user base.
On a broader market comparison as of October 17, Meta AI's app demonstrated a 15.58% increase in worldwide daily active users. In contrast, other prominent AI applications observed declines: ChatGPT saw a 3.51% decrease, Grok recorded a 7.35% decline, and Perplexity experienced a 2.29% reduction in DAU.
